Surfskating - Beginner/Improver Coached Session

Concrete Waves London
Description

Come and try surfskating at our weekly Beginner/Improver sessions! (Please note there are two Beginner/Improver sessions every Sunday: 09:30-11:30 and 12:00-14:00) Surfskating is a form of skateboarding that feels more like surfing or snowboarding, with lovely flowing turns. This is a 2 hour coached session for up to 20 people. This session is perfect if you're a complete beginner, or still early on your surfskating journey. We'll start with a gentle warm up, and review some safety tips, including how to get on and off a surfskate safely, when stationary and when moving. Then we'll begin some gentle turns and carving, and move on to some exercises with cones to help build good turning technique, and surfskate pumping. We'll include some fun activities to make the most of your new surfskating skills. In some sessions we'll also have our ramps out, and we'll get you off to a good start with riding on ramps safely and with style. This session will get you ready for joining in with the Concrete Waves surfskating community, and its activities all across London!
