Pickleball Stevenage

Pickleball is a fun sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis and is easier to play than any of those. Pickleball is played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court with a slightly modified tennis net. Players use solid paddles to hit a hollow, perforated, polymer ball, over the net. Aimed at (but not exclusive to) the over 50s, pickleball is a fun way to stay active and keep fit. It's the fastest growing sport in America and set to go big over here. We play for fun in a friendly, inclusive environment with players of all abilities (and none!) welcome. There are plenty of videos on YouTube if you want to get an idea of what it's all about. We play pickleball at Stevenage Leisure Centre, near the town centre, on Mondays 11:30 to 1:30, Wednesdays 9:30 to 11:30 and Fridays 15:30 to 17:30 The sessions in Stevenage are managed by the Leisure Centre and you need to book a place though them, 01438 579379. The cost is £3.50.
