Our Feldenkrais classes are designed to help you learn to move with greater ease and efficiency; improve posture, balance and coordination. The benefits can be felt through everyday activities and improved sporting performance. It is a practical method that works with movement and awareness in a simple and gentle way and is accessible to a wide range of fitness levels. Classes take the form of a series of verbally led movement experiments in a variety of positions, most often lying on a mat but also in other positions such as seated or standing. They are designed to help each individual learn to find their own best way of moving. What to wear? Comfortable clothing that you are free to move in. Layers are a good idea. What to bring? A mat to lie on, something like a yoga mat is fine. Most classes will involve some lying on the floor. It’s a good idea to bring some support for your head if you might need it when lying on the floor. A large towel that can be folded or rolled works well.
