Kung Fu Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced From 12 yo Payment on site
Philip Leung from Hung Kuen Academy UK
Description

Lion Dance is a staple of traditional Chinese culture. With foundations in traditional Chinese martial arts, historically being performed by Traditional Kung Fu schools, the Lion Dance is performed as a ceremony to bring good luck and fortune. It is performed all year round for many occasions but is most commonly seen during Chinese New Year. Our school performs Southern-style lion dance, the central aspect of which is the "Choy Cheng". It is a deep and multifaceted performance art that has something for everyone. During the training, you will have the opportunity to train in every role, from the Kung Fu basic movements and stances, lion movements, to the musical instruments. All of which will enable you to develop both physical and musical skills.
